Do you know what is different «Made in China» from «Made in P.R.C.»?
. Absolutely! But at the same time very many.
How so? — You will be surprised.
In fact, there is no contradiction. Let’s explain.
When China only got up to the rails of industrial development, all the goods that were produced on its territory carried a proud labeling «Made in China», that is, made in China.
It’s no secret that the quality of Chinese goods, especially at the first time, was not the next plinth, it did not even reach the foundation. Sneakers were falling apart after the first socks, the TV could simply not be turned on, and in some, especially launched cases, the entire electronic filling could be completely absent in the technique — there is no body, no fillings.
That is why the labeling «Made in China» has become synonymous with very low quality products. Of course, most Chinese were completely indifferent, as everyone else belongs to their goods. Money drip out and okay.
But over time, an understanding came that the attitude towards Chinese goods is harmful to sales. So invented the cunning Chinese manufacturers such a label as «Made in P.R.c.». At first, many thought it was translated as «done in the Republic of Korea» or even Kosovo, Cambodia. In fact, the translation is as follows:
«Made by the People of the Republic of China.»
That is, it seems that half of the goods are made by the people, and the second half is not the people of China. Maybe they have dwarves or hobbits.
But it is not exactly.
And if there is no joke, then the people went the legends that if there is a marking «Made in p.r.c.», the quality is higher, this is done for Europe or even the United States, it cannot be deceived … nothing like that. It was a banal marketing trick.
What happened next?
Over time, the Chinese realized that the disgusting quality would hardly harm sales, and no marketing would help. Therefore, the Chinese abandoned such tricks, and seriously took up the quality of their products. Therefore, about the labeling «Made in P.R.c.» (with rare exception) forgot.
However, several years ago, it began to receive goods with marking «Made in P.r.c.» again. What happened, Uncle Si’s labor army again took up the old tricks?
Not at all!
The fact is that over the past decade, many European and American plants have transferred the physical production of goods for Europe and the United States to China. That is, the plant fully belongs to a foreign corporation, all manufacturing technologies belong to Europeans or Americans, and China provides labor force. Then I remembered about the long forgotten «Made in P.r.c.».
Today «Made in P.R.c.» means that the goods were produced in China, under the complete control of European specialists and technologies owned by the European Firm. And controlling the quality of products in such enterprises is much hard.
On the first photo you see the label «Made in P.r.c.» on a saw for metal. This saw almost an exact copy of the Japanese saw of Makita, also made in China and having a «Made in China» labeling. Many say that these saws are exactly the same.
Maybe they are right …
Only on the first saw, the manufacturer gives a guarantee of 6 years, and on the second 1 year (2 years with registration on the site).
As they say, feel the difference!
