Money gives freedom.

All human activity is based on motivation.

A person who believes that he has no other choice but to work for someone for a small salary is motivated for this work by some of his personal life circumstances.

I will not motivate, but I want to talk about what lies at the heart of the motivation to make money.

There was a period in my life when I could not afford a lot. All the money was spent on closing monthly accounts, renting an apartment and food (the latter depended on what was left).

Before, I have already talked about many experiments that I conducted with money in order to understand the mechanisms that underlie it.

If there are people who are motivated by money by itself, I am not one of them. I know that you can live on very small amounts (there was a time when I worked for food, not money).

And it is very important to find your answer to this question, because

Working and earning money to pay the bills is bad motivation. Rather, it is not even motivation, but a state in which a person is not aware of his inner needs and is guided exclusively by external circumstances.

I know that for someone it sounded painful, but I speak from my own experience, which I personally lived, from which I drew conclusions and was able to go further, beyond these limitations.

This position in life has one significant drawback — it is limited by external needs. That is,

I can do without esotericism —

So, it took me several years to understand what exactly I associate money with and what lies at the heart of my earnings.

Not the choice the consumer makes between good, bad, and exclusive. It’s about choosing what tomorrow will be like, how I will live it.

I’m not one of those who chase after expensive things and luxury goods, although what I want is often expensive. But this is not the main thing for me.

What matters is that

Will I be doing business or reading a book, or maybe I will go to visit my relatives in another city or sit on a bench in the park, drink tea from a thermos and watch passers-by. Will I cook myself because I want to, or will I invite my wife to a restaurant where we will have a good time and have dinner. Will I go on vacation abroad or prefer the Thai Sea — the Altai Mountains.

It is important to note here that I do not know what tomorrow will be like and what it will present to me, what challenges it will throw up. But if everyone forgets about me that day and no one needs anything from me, I can spend it the way I want. In business, rest or thinking about your life.

On the other hand, if someone needs me, I will be required to resolve some issues — I will do this because I want it, and not because it is necessary and cannot be done without it.

It is very important to find an answer to this question. There are two reasons for this:

The motivation of a consumer chasing convenience, comfort and respectability is no better. Convenience and comfort lead to degradation. They soften and nullify a very important inner quality — will.

A weak-willed person will not be able to withstand the challenges that life and the world around him can throw him. And, as in the first case, it will become a victim of external circumstances.

In general, what I want to say is that within everyone there is a deep motivation associated with making money. It is probably odd, and almost certainly differs from accepted stereotypes and patterns of thought. This is something very personal, only about you, about you and for you.

And if the next day of work does not bring you joy, does not seize with opportunities, does not inspire achievements, then most likely you have not found this motivation.

Introspection is mental picking in your head, multiplied by emotional reflexes. If the problem is in the head, this will help.

But more often than not, there is no problem at all.

The problem is the concept of the mind. The mind creates expectations and, not getting the cherished result, looks for problems (reasons why it did not work out). He struggles with problems, but does not get the result according to his expectations, he starts looking for problems again.

Emotions are imitation of feelings at the level of the mind. The main difference between emotions and feelings is short duration.

If today you woke up in a good mood and you, as they say,

I’m talking about deep inner feelings, in the essence of which are needs. Most of the time, the mind is not aware of these needs — it looks at the circles in the water (emotions), not what is under the water (feelings).

Feelings differ in that they do not disappear anywhere and do not disappear over time. They are long term.

Let’s say that joy is short-lived, but the state of happiness is permanent. The paradox is that anyone who has achieved happiness knows that this is so, and those who have not achieved it — most often under the happiness of a positive emotional experience.
The former know that this is a feeling that needs to be cultivated on a daily basis. The latter live in an illusory race for external stimuli (like «I will marry / get married — I will become happy»).

So, more often than not, there is no problem. All problems are thought up by the head and are designed to set our body in motion. But problems do not motivate us, there is no resource in them.

When we solve a problem, two processes occur simultaneously — one in the head, the other in the depths of us. The resource gives what is in the depth, and not what is in the head.

Therefore, I do not call for introspection and psychology, but I am talking about what is called in different spiritual and esoteric movements and schools

There is practically no free time between observation and reaction. We were raised from childhood so that we instantly react to some external factors. Vadim Zeland calls this reaction «the oyster reaction». A person, in this sense, is a hostage of his reactions, not a master.

But if you allow yourself to be in the process, not blindly react, but observe what is happening deep inside, a whole world opens up, full of resources and inspiration.

And since a person has much more needs and they are much broader than this description, I am still talking about deep inner feelings that can be described by the words «I need» or «I need».

So, there is a need in the basis of earnings, comparable in importance with the need for breathing. And just like breathing, most of the time a person is not aware of this need.

Until this need is realized, the ball is run by a restless mind, which cannot choose something specific and is always unhappy with everything.

A conscious need becomes a life value, and therefore daily motivates for something.

Give yourself a gift and try to realize —

Finally, I will share a practice that many prosperous people talk about, and which I myself do regularly — keeping a diary of feelings.
In this diary, preferably on a daily basis, records are made about the situations experienced from the point of view of how the person feels.
The main task: to try to realize what lies behind the emotions, behind the reactions.
The diary must be kept by hand (not on the phone or on the computer). And do not be lazy in describing the experienced state.

Thank you for reading. I hope you found this post helpful.
