OnePlus 9R unveiled: sub-flagship tier on Snapdragon 870

On Tuesday, March 23rd, the Chinese company OnePlus held a presentation at which they presented their new products. The highlight of the event was the flagship series of smartphones OnePlus 9, which included three models. About the youngest of them, which is called OnePlus 9R, we will now tell you.

The OnePlus 9R is a cross between the mid-range smartphones OnePlus Nord and the flagship OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro models. In fact, this is a sub-flagship-level smartphone. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865. The company has 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. To remove heat from the chip, a cooling system with a steam chamber is provided.

The front panel of the smartphone has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD +, HDR10 + resolution, 120 Hz image refresh rate, 240 Hz sampling rate and a built-in optical fingerprint scanner. A notch in the upper left corner of the display houses a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. And on the back is a quad camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel module with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait photography.

The OnePlus 9R is powered by a 4500mAh rechargeable battery with 65W fast charging via USB Type-C. According to the manufacturer, charging from 0 to 100% takes only 39 minutes. Other features of the novelty are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Android 11 installed on board with the OxygenOS 11 shell.

The OnePlus 9R will go on sale in mid-April. Prices start at $ 550 for the 8/128 GB version and go up to $ 605 for the 12/256 GB model.
