On Wednesday, March 17, Samsung announced the release of new representatives of the Galaxy A series of mid-range smartphones. One of the new products was a smartphone called Samsung Galaxy A72 4G, which will now be discussed.

Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A72 is only available in the 4G version. Whether the model will come out with 5G support, the manufacturer did not specify. The new smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, which, depending on the configuration, is 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. In any case, in addition to this, the smartphone has a slot for a microSD memory card with a maximum volume of 1 TB. Also, a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh fits inside the smartphone. It supports 25W fast charging just like the previous generation. True, a 15 W charger is included with the smartphone, which may upset many buyers. Everything is controlled by the Android 11 mobile operating system with the Samsung One UI 3.0 proprietary interface installed on top.

Let’s move on to the external equipment of the Samsung Galaxy A72. Here we are greeted by a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display installed on the front panel with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The screen supports Full HD + resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and has a maximum brightness of 800 nits. Above there is a small round cutout for the front camera with a 32-megapixel matrix. A quad camera is installed on the back of the case, consisting of a 64-megapixel main module, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto module and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. The camera system, according to the manufacturer, has optical image stabilization and supports 30x magnification. The quad camera is complemented by an LED flash.

The Samsung Galaxy A72 4G is housed in a case with a polycarbonate plastic back cover. It has an IP67 rating of dust and moisture protection, which means that the smartphone can be submerged under water to a depth of 1 meter for half an hour. Customers can choose from four body colors: classic black and white and pastel shades of blue and purple.

The new smartphone will go on sale shortly. Prices start at 450 euros for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
